The Case of The Magic Baseball - John Jones (Martian Manhunter, breaks his first few cases by using his Martian powers. One day, he is assigned a case in which he must keep an eye on Big Bob Michaels, who once served a prison term who has become a famous baseball pitcher for the Flamingos. Jones proceeds to investigate. Using his Martian telepathy, he finds out that Big Bob is being blackmailed by the mob. If he deliberately loses, he will be rewarded with money. If he wins, they will tell the world that he learned to pitch on a prison baseball team. In order to help out Michaels, John Jones uses his Martian Molecular Hypnosis and Martian Mind-Over-Matter abilities to help the Flamingos win. He then uses his invisibility to take out the mobsters who blackmailed Big Bob Michaels.
